So now we have Jasper. Taking him on has been one of the reasons I haven't updated much recently. He wants a lot of love. Sometimes in the middle of the night he crawls up and nuzzles against my face and purrs and shows affection in every way he possibly can while begging for some back. And once he found a way to escape when a window was open more than it should have been. But when we returned home he was sitting curled up on the front porch patiently waiting for us.

Jasper
About four weeks ago, someone came to the bank to make a deposit ... of himself. Yup, on a Tuesday morning in August a four and a half month old gray and white kitten tried frantically to get into the bank while my manager was going in. She finally let him in and a cute little fluffy kitty bounced and pranced and played around the bank for the half-hour before the lobby opened. He was filthy, underfed, and he smelled, but he wanted very badly for someone to cuddle him and play with him. So that's what I did. And then I went home, got my kitty carrier, put him in it and drove him home. He was secluded in the bathroom until he and I took a trip to the vet that afternoon. Fleas and worms but no feline leukemia. And then came the convincing of Nick that we could support a second kitty. He agreed at about the same time he first held him.
